Cover Supervisors
Salary: Scale 5 (£23,372) actual, per annum. 37 hours per week, term time only plus 5 days.

Are you a proactive, forward thinker with strong organisation and communication skills who feels passionate about the education of young people? Are you looking for variety and experience of working in a school setting?

We wish to recruit two new Cover Supervisors to manage the delivery of set curriculum work in the absence of a class teacher. The Cover Supervisor’s main job is to ensure high standards of behaviour are maintained, students remain on task and they therefore make effective progress. This opportunity is ideal for those who are passionate about making a difference to the education outcomes of young people, or who may be considering entering the teaching profession in the future or even qualified teachers seeking a change in role. You will be provided with good professional development opportunities and the chance to accompany school trips should you wish to. Applicants should have the confidence and presence to manage whole classes, as well as the skills to relate positively to individual students and staff. In addition, the role will require flexibility in undertaking other activities to support departments depending on the needs of the school.

Learning Support Assistant
Salary: Scale 3 (£20,607) Actual,

A rare opportunity has arisen to join the small, effective SEND team within our school. We have a vacancy for a Learning Support Assistant with good knowledge and understanding of how to support students with a range of needs.  The post will involve working closely with the SENCo and contributing fully to the work of the team.

You must have a genuine liking for young people and must be able to establish good relationships with the young people in your care.  You will be working with a small number of high needs students in the school who can find the mainstream environment challenging.  Patience, understanding and good communication skills are essential along with confidence in speaking with students, staff, parents and external agencies. Building positive and trusting relationships with parents and carers is also a key part of the role.

Learning Support Assistant

Our SEND team is growing as a response to student needs. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join this small, effective SEND team within our school. You will support the work of other Learning Support Assistants and the SENCo to give targeted one-to-one support for students with Education, Health and Care Plans, including support in lessons as required.

Mid-day Supervisors Required, Part-time (6 hrs 15 mins) term-time only.

We require lunchtime supervisors to join our team to enhance the supervision of our students over the lunchtime period. The role will involve supervising students within the school building, on the school grounds and on the Moor, as required on a rota, to ensure their well-being and safety.

Supply Teachers

We are always looking to recruit flexible secondary supply teachers for general and subject specialist cover to provisionally teach on a day to day and short term basis. Whether you are a ECT / NQT or an experienced teacher looking for supply teaching work, short or possible long term contracts, please get in touch.
