Winning the toss, captain Aayan chose to bat first and when he, Finlay and Rayaan fell early to some decent Trinity bowling, Crossley’s were under pressure. Up to the crease came Ayaan and Hammad who took their time and built a solid half century partnership (Ayaan 29, Hammad 23), playing a variety of shots to showcase their talent. With Azaan and Yahya adding some valuable runs at the end along with generous extras from the bowlers, Crossley’s finished on 124.

In response, Trinity were pinned back by the strength in depth of Crossley’s bowling attack, and once their openers were out to a ‘hit roof’ and a sharp run out by Kayaan, Trinity never looked likely to reach their target. 3 wickets from Kayaan and 2 from Yahya secured the game for Crossley’s.
