A comprehensive programme of careers guidance is delivered in partnership with C & K Careers, local employers and other education and training providers as well as the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership (the LEP).

Apprenticeship Information

Apprenticeships are structured programs that blend practical work experience with academic learning, designed to give young people a strong start in their careers while they continue their education. Through apprenticeships, students gain hands-on skills by working alongside experienced professionals in their chosen field—such as engineering, healthcare, IT, or business—while also studying relevant theory. Typically lasting one to four years, apprenticeships allow students to “earn while they learn,” with both wages and a nationally recognized qualification upon completion. This pathway is an excellent option for students interested in a more practical approach to learning, equipping them with valuable skills, experience, and credentials that employers value.

T-Levels

T-Levels are two-year, career-focused qualifications designed to provide students with a blend of classroom learning and hands-on industry experience, making them an excellent option for young people who prefer a practical approach to education. Equivalent to three A-levels, T-Levels cover core theoretical knowledge while also including a 45-day work placement in the student’s chosen industry, such as digital technology, construction, health, or science. This combination prepares students with both the technical skills and real-world experience employers seek, giving them a direct pathway into skilled employment, higher apprenticeships, or further study. T-Levels are ideal for students interested in gaining in-depth, career-specific knowledge and a solid grounding for future job prospects.
