Our 160th-anniversary fundraising journey began with a Fundraising Fortnight at the end of the summer term, during which we raised an incredible amount and donated £2,000 to each of our partner charities. The fortnight featured a range of exciting events, including:

1. Inflatable Extravaganza – Students had a blast on an inflatable assault course.
2. Summer Fair – Every tutor group ran creative market stalls offering games, food, and crafts.
3. Sponsored Colour Run – Students raced around the Moor, raising funds individually, in tutor groups, by year, and as part of their houses. The top fundraisers enjoyed exclusive tours of our legendary basement and clock tower.

Reflecting on these achievements, Mr Jones said:
"I am so grateful to our students, their families, our alumni, and our staff for the sponsorship, energy, and imagination they invested into our Fundraising Fortnight. One of our values is kindness, and this was kindness in action. We believe in all our students contributing positively to society, and this was a fantastic example of how they can make a real difference by supporting three of the most special charities in our local area. I can’t wait to see what we can achieve next."

Ongoing Commitment to Charitable Causes
Each year, the school continues to support a variety of charities chosen by our students, reflecting our community's commitment to helping those in need. Many students also volunteer within the local community, whether as part of their Duke of Edinburgh Award or to enrich the lives of others through acts of kindness.
